About Me

Hello and welcome to my website, my name is Lisa Fletcher and I am a qualified Counsellor/Psychotherapist with a BSc Hons in Therapeutic Counselling (First Class) and a DipHE in Therapeutic Counselling gained at Leeds Beckett University.

I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy). As a member of the BACP I am committed to working within their ethical framework with and also committed to ongoing CPD (Continuing Professional Development, which means I will be continuously learning and keeping up to date with new therapeutic approaches.

As a practitioner I take an integrative approach to therapy, meaning I draw upon a range of therapeutic skills and techniques including: Person-Centred, Psychodynamic, Existential, Mindfulness, CBT and Creative Therapy. The Therapeutic approach taken with each individual is always client-led meaning every person is afforded choice and autonomy throughout their therapeutic journey.

Having experience working with young adults within an educational setting; clients age 16 upwards within two charitable organisations and within my own private practice, and healthcare professionals within the NHS.

I support clients struggling with a wide range of difficulties including;
